Concerts offered by the Kevin Locke Native Dance Ensemble feature historic, authentic dance and music from the artists' traditions: Lakota, Comanche, Choctaw, Oneida, Ojibwe and Cree. In performance, the presentation is visually compelling. The addition of dramatic lighting effects adds visual interest, but the dances themselves strictly honor the tradition. Surrounding the dance are educational explanations woven into stories and narratives by master storytellers Kevin, Edmond, and Thirza, folded into a seamlessly integrated program that focuses equally on intriguing education and inspiring entertainment.
